Cake Anyone?
Year:
2021
"Cake Anyone?" is a site-specific installation in Grange Park, once the Grange Estate in the 1800s, behind the AGO. Combining a lace tablecloth, multicolored gelatin, plants, and grass, the work symbolizes the shift from a private estate to a public park. By placing the lace tablecloth on the ground and distorting the gelatin cake, the installation challenges traditional formalities, prompting viewers to reflect on the evolving nature of public spaces and the layers of history within them. "Cake Anyone?" is a visual dialogue on the intersection of past and present in Grange Park's historical transformation.
